Buckeye K9 has been a trusted leader in dog training and behavioral transformation since 2006. Founded by Certified Professional Trainer Lori Morrell, our brand was built on a passion for working with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments. What started in Columbus, Ohio has grown into a multi-location training company offering everything from basic obedience to advanced protection training.
At Buckeye K9, we believe training is not just about commands—it's about creating real, lasting change. Our trainers take a personalized approach, designing programs that reflect each dog's personality and the goals of their owner. Lori brings nearly 20 years of hands-on experience, with certifications from the National K-9® School for Dog Trainers and titles in Schutzhund/IPO, PSA, and French Ring. She also works alongside her husband training personal protection dogs and police K9s. Based in Obetz, Ohio, Lori and the Buckeye K9 team proudly serve clients throughout Central Ohio and beyond.

Mark Carberry
Mark has been with Buckeye K9 since 2019. He’s a Certified Professional Trainer through National K9, with a passion for working dogs, and outdoor adventure. When not training, you’ll find him fishing or hiking with his dog Aras.
Hanley Routt
Hanley began as a kennel tech and quickly earned her certification as a professional dog trainer in 2023. She's passionate about rescue dogs, with a personal mission to train as many as she can. Hanley spends free time throwing balls for her dog Mia — or doing yoga.
